Former Bausch + Lomb CEO Dan Gill Has Died
A longtime former leader of Bausch + Lomb has died, according to a report on WXXI.org.
Dan Gill, 81, who was CEO from 1981 to 1995, died on October 27, according to an obituary in the Democrat & Chronicle. Mr. Gill was an Illinois native, but was very active in Rochester civic organizations, serving as a director for numerous local organizations including Frontier Corporation, the Eastman School of Music, the University of Rochester and RIT.
Mr. Gill was also active in helping Bausch and Lomb to build a headquarters building in downtown Rochester which opened in 1995.
